Maker’s Mark Wood Finishing Series FAE-02 Review
Representing the second 2021 release from Maker’s Mark’s Wood Finishing Series, this whiskey is the product of a proprietary wooden stave finishing process, which amplifies the influence of oak in the spirit and brings new and complex flavor characteristics. This particular release leans heavily into dark brown sugar, vanilla, and caramel notes, and serves up a lively toasty texture on the palate. With an elongated finish and continually evolving flavors, this bourbon is 100% a sipper. All enthusiasts would be wise to make space on their shelves for it.
