Luca Old Vine Malbec 2015 Review
This wine shows Malbec’s ability to be in balance and showcase aromas you may not have experienced in past bottles. At 13% alcohol, and with excellent acidity, this young and thriving Malbec has the classic aromas of black currant and bramble fruit but because of seriously great winemaking, and site locations, we are able to enjoy added aromas of cured meat, mushrooms and licorice on the savory side and subtle notes of cola and mocha on the sweeter side with a floral whisper edging on violet. It is velvety on the palate with the tannin woven in nice and tight making it hardly perceived. There are a lot of Malbecs like this out there, but this one is half the price and so worth it.
