Louis M. Martini Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Review
Sipping this wine, I feel like I'm in a Scorsese film. It's a wine that calls back to the days of the 70's/80's cult cab craze (cue up the Dean Martin montage) and usually I wouldn't want to throw down on a wine like this, but it has a place (the winemaker was one of the establishing members of the Napa Valley Vintners Association in 1943). This is a wine filled with classic cherry and vanilla aromas with a tart smack of alcohol (15.1%). If you are dining with or gifting someone from this era, they will greatly appreciate it. This is what they remember and love about California red.
