Long Meadow Ranch Napa Valley Merlot 2019 Review

Long Meadow Ranch's property in Napa Valley has a long history dating back to the Civil War. After struggling during prohibition, the site was purchased by the Hall family in the late ‘80s who set out to revive the land. Today, it's thriving with over 2,000 acres of grapes, olives, fruits, vegetables, and pasture. And those grapes make great wine. This Merlot is a blend from its two Napa Valley estates and is extremely approachable and focused. The nose has a notes of earth with hints of brambly blueberries and pepper. The palate is beautifully balanced with an impressive fruit concentration and lithe tannic frame.
