Leon Manbach Riesling Grand Cru Frankstein 2019 Review
Alsace is home to 51 grand cru vineyard sites, like this granite-rich Frankstein grand cru in the Dambach-La-Ville commune. This wine really shows a sense of place, with an intensity that is undeniably a result of Alsace's signature sunshine. On the nose, there’s a honey note along with pepper, wicker, and sliced pears. It has a very drying palate with bracing acidity and a nice fruit concentration as that honey note carries over.
