Le Clos Peyrassol Rosé 2022 Review

Given to the Order of the Knights Templar by the Count of Provence in 1204, the Peyrassol property was about to begin a long journey to some of the most renowned rosé in Provence. By the early nineteenth century, it was under the ownership of the Rigord family who cared for the vines through to the new millennium. Today under the guidance of Philippe Austruy, the estate still has some of its best years ahead. This rosé is about terroir. An isolated clos makes the small production of this wine and the focus is pristine. An aromatic nose meets the senses with notes of white flowers, the sweet pop of fresh peach, and ripe strawberries. The palate is elegant with good minerality and soft fruit. It brings the proper luxurious vibes of a top-end Provence.
