Lady of the Sunshine Chene Vineyard Chardonnay 2022 Review
Gina Giugni started Lady of the Sunshine in 2017 with a focus on regenerative, organic, and biodynamic farming in California's Central Coast. She's been farming the six and a half acre Chene Vineyard since 2018, earning it Demeter biodynamic certification in 2020. The vineyard is located in the Edna Valley appellation in San Luis Obispo, which is known for making exceptional cool-climate wines. This extremely fresh Chardonnay is a wonderful example. It has a nose of lemon oil and grapefruit zest with hints of yellow flowers. The palate is very acid-driven, but still has a great depth of fruit. A wonderfully lively Chardonnay.
