Kendall-Jackson Grand Reserve Pinot Noir 2017 Review
This is not 100% Pinot Noir. It can’t be. You won’t drink this bottle for the subtle complexities of a revered grape. No, this wine has the same intense alcohol as a big Zin or oaky Merlot. It has a one-note sweet fruit aroma that may be cherry cola. Whatever grape they blended with this wine hides a lot of what Pinot Noir is, but hey, it’s easy drinking, has good acidity and would jive with some backyard BBQ. But stay hydrated because this wine will sneak up on ya at a whopping 14.5% abv. No one likes a hangover.
