Jameson Black Barrel
Review
None can argue with the ubiquitous popularity of Jameson's flagship offering, but for added intensity and complexity seek out the brand's Black Barrel release. The name refers to a re-charring process of the bourbon barrels used for maturation, and the effect is evident on both nose and palate. Banana, toffee, and ripe peach aromas give way to caramel, oat, and intense toasted oak flavors. This is undeniably Jameson, but not as you may know it.
