Iterum Clone 115 Orchard House Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 Review
Joe Dobbes has had a long, storied career in winemaking in Oregon. He's been proving for other brands how good Pinot Noir can be in the Willamette Valley since the '80s. This is his newest solo venture where he makes clonal wine from his estate vineyard. With 2019 being his first vintage, I feel like we need to snatch these up ASAP because they are so good. This wine has a wonderful balance of savory and fruit characteristics. The classic cherry nose is tinged with earthy rhubarb notes that draw you in. The palate has elegance to it with some subtle tannins framing the wine, but not sacrificing its good fruit depth. The wine is further balanced by excellent natural acidity. GO GRAB ONE!
