Inniskillin Riesling Icewine 2019 Review
In Canada's Niagara Peninsula, just north of New York, the Riesling grape has found its spiritual home. When treated right, it is a very winter-hardy variety that can produce serious structure and character. It can also produce focused, balanced icewine, and this bottle is an example of that. It smells like flowers and a slight hint of candied citrus fruit and petrol. It has great acidity calming the sweet nature of this style of wine. There is a sharp angle that calls for some stinky and blue artisan cheese.
