Green River Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Review
If you’re looking for a rye whiskey that isn’t sourced but does offer the MGP-style character along with the savory cooking spices, seek out Green River Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey. Bottled at 95 proof and composed of 4-6 year old whiskey, this release employs the 95 percent rye, 5 percent malted barley recipe made famous by MGP. But rather than Indiana, it was distilled in Owensboro, Ky., at the Green River facility. Its lively nose serves orange peel on top of the heady spice, while an intense palate makes it a great option for Manhattans.
