Fenestra Winery Merlot 2020 Review
Situated in the Livermore Valley AVA, east of San Fransisco, the Fenestra winery dates back to the late 19th century. This Merlot is a direct result of the area's warm and breezy climate, provided by the hills to the west that prevent the Bay fog from creeping in. The nose pops with aromas of mocha-covered cherries and cranberries. The palate is soft and fleshy with a slight spike of heat from the high-ish alcohol, which adds a nice contrast to the juiciness.
