FEL Anderson Valley Pinot Gris 2017 Review

Hey, Ryan Hodgins, never change! Cliff Lede named this winery, FEL, after his mother (Florence Elsie Lede) which sets a pretty high bar (#amirite) and Ryan comes correct with this Pinot Gris. It’s not often we get such complexity out of this grape but here you have ginger and pear notes along with brulee grapefruit, some orange blossom and flint smoke, with a creamy, broad palate. The acidity allows you to enjoy the depth of the wine and each individual aroma while still being big, juicy, and round. You could pair food with this wine, but I would just pop and sip during sunset.
