Fattoria Viticcio Chanti Classico Riserva DOCG 2017 Review
Today there are two types of Chianti. The more modern approach with heavier oak use and blending international varieties with native. And there is the traditional type using only native grapes. This is a wonderful example of the former with the addition of Merlot and Syrah to the Sangiovese. It is soft and dark with a full savory vibe. The palate is soulful and deep and full of fruit with excellent natural acidity lifting the wine just enough, allowing it to pair with food.
