Failla Olivet Ranch Vineyard Chenin Blanc 2022 Review
Winemaker Ehren Jordan focuses on cool climate grapes including Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay along the breezy Sonoma Coast. One cool-climate variety that doesn't always get the attention it deserves is Chenin Blanc, and Failla does a great job of showing off its balance and texture. The wine has a damp-rock minerality with subtle notes of ginger and pear. The palate is lean and acid-driven, but it has the fruit to match.
