Elijah Craig Small Batch Barrel Proof Review
Don’t be put off by its heady alcohol content, the alcohol is super well integrated on this bourbon. Rather than overpower, it actually allows the character of the spirit to shine. Notes of caramel, toasted oak, and orange peel lead the nose, followed by butterscotch, cinnamon, and black pepper on the palate. The finish lingers for an age, meaning you could sip on a couple of ounces of this for hours. This is delicate but simultaneously powerful bourbon.
