Egan’s Vintage Grain Review
Many encounters with single grain Irish whiskey can lead you to question what the style is striving for: It invariably seems to lack the character of pot still or single malts, and the approachability of blends. But not here. Aged for 10 years in bourbon casks, Egan's Vintage Grain has a delicate but intriguing charm. The nose kicks off with subtle dried fruit and nut aromas, followed by a pleasant vanilla undertone. The palate is light-bodied and lively, but serves more depth on the flavor front than its light hue leads you to expect. This is perfect for summer sipping and whiskey highballs.
