Donna Laura 'Alteo' Riserva 2019 Review
Outside the Chianti Classico zone, there is a wider second DOCG named just Chianti. It is a region of seven sub-zones that can append to a label or just be a source of great fruit. This bottle is from the Chianti DOCG. It is a classic 100 percent Sangiovese with the typical notes of cranberries and some cherry vibes but has a whiff of white pepper that is savory and subtle. The fruit is vibrant yet settles with some medium depth and great acidity to keep it lively. Great weeknight pasta wine.
