Dominio del Plata 'Nosotros' 2013 Review

Getting complexity from a Malbec is a tall order. The grape is big and fat and juicy, not allowing for a long list of resulting descriptors. This wine, from a sub appellation of a sub appellation, is dark and rich, full bodied, with a balanced palate. Under the slight heat of the high alcohol are hints of licorice and roasted coffee beans with a tinge of vanilla. If you are a die hard Malbec fan, this wine is one you should seek out due its unique balance. But if you like Malbec for its affordability it would be better to take this bottle's $115 price tag and buy a case from a producer your wallet can handle.
