Domaine de Bellivière Coteaux du Loir Blanc ‘Vieilles Vignes Eparses’ 2020 Review
Just north of the Saumur wine zone in France's Loire Valley is the small yet mighty Coteaux du Loir AOC. The entire appellation consists of 70 hectares of land under vine and works exclusively with Chenin Blanc for the white wines of the region. They are gems and definitely wines to seek out for their intensity and texture. This bottle from Domaine de Bellivière is a great example of how wonderful these wines can be. The nose is soulful with rich notes of stone fruit, baked apples, and anise. The palate is deep yet refreshing with amazing natural acidity holding everything in place.
