Founder and winemaker Elena Brooks has been making wine since she was sixteen (it was Chardonnay). Her mother worked at a winery in Bulgaria and she soon found herself falling in love with the process. After years of studying and making wine around the world she landed in Australia with her family. Today she is seen as one of the brightest stars in Australian wine and this wine proves it. Coming in at under thirty dollars this wine drinks above its price point. The nose is earthy with a kind of brambly dark berry and pepper aroma. The palate is so good with a medium weight, a little chewy and a true representation of the grape the wine was made from.
