Corey Creek 'Deep Roots' Gewürztraminer 2022 Review
Winemaker Marin Brennan is making magic on the North Fork of Long Island. She's pushing the envelope at Corey Creek, a small-batch offshoot of the popular Bedell Cellars, by embracing uncommon grapes and implementing innovative techniques — like fermenting Chardonnay on seashells. So it makes sense that this divisive variety would have a chance with this winemaker. And she came through once again. A nose of aloe, beeswax, honey, prickly pear, flower blossoms, ginger flit around your senses. It's bright, balanced, and beautiful on the palate. It manages to be lively and refreshing while still having some weight. A wonderful example of Gewürztraminer to try.
