Charles Smith 'Sixto' Uncovered Chardonnay 2016 Review
There are so many good things going on here: nose of lemon curd, beeswax with some vanilla and citrus that carries to the palate with an added pear and dill. The mouthfeel is soft and broad with a creamy weight. And if the wine didn’t have 14% alcohol you would be able to truly enjoy all of that. But the heat from the alcohol smacks you on the nose, the palate and the finish. As nice and structured as this wine is, unless you dig the burn this wine may not be for you.
