Catena Zapata 'Catena Alta' Chardonnay 2015 Review
Sipping this wine blind you would guess it was a Cali Chardonnay, so if you enjoy big, oaky Chard from California, you will like this bottle. It has a nice, low 13.5% alcohol, which pronounces the high acidity. This is important because the amount of oak here is A LOT. So much to the point that oak influence, toasted vanilla, and butterscotch are the main, if only, aromas. Are you or is there someone in your life who loves oak? Then this is a great gift. If you're not, then this wine isn't for you.
