Catch & Release Wines Block Party 2023 Review
This interesting wine is a blend of Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Gewürztraminer fermented on the skins for 15 days and finished in neutral French oak. The barrels don't impart oak aromas but soften the texture of the wine. Also the Riesling that came in for this vintage has some noble rot and was immediately added to the blend after a similar process. The result is a vibrant wine with notes of grapefruit and hibiscus. The palate is juicy with a great texture and an even finish. If you bring this bottle to a block party, you'll be the talk of the town.
