Bushmills 21-Year-Old Single Malt Review
This 21-year-old single malt ages for a minimum of 19 years in Oloroso and ex-bourbon casks then spends a further two years maturating in Madeira casks. The combination of age and the different cask influences arrive in perfect unison, with each component contributing to a dram that is even better than the sum of its parts. The nose is rich and intense, leading with notes of ripe banana, leather, cigar box, and tobacco. The palate serves luscious helpings of dried fruits, an unmistakable Oloroso sherry note, and a tingling peppery finish. Each sip is a special journey that you won't want to end — and for more than a fleeting moment, that seems to be the case. This is a graceful whiskey crafted for momentous occasions.
