Broken Barrel Whiskey Co. California Oak Bourbon Review

Though its name points to California, this bourbon is initially distilled in Kentucky. The West Coast influence arrives via a finishing process, with a mix of virgin French Oak staves and California Cabernet wine cask staves used to build upon its aromatic and flavor profile. Most notably, the technique lends a distinctive vanilla note and juicy red berry flavors to the whiskey. All of this means that if you’re a  wine drinker looking to get into bourbon, this is your bottle.
