Boeger Winery Merlot 2019 Review
The Boegers bought this Gold Rush-era winery in California's El Dorado AVA and brought it into the 20th century. Originally focusing on Italian grapes, specifically Barbera, they have since expanded beyond the boot with wines like this amazing Merlot. It's so soft and earthy on the nose with flecks of pepper and brambly blueberry. The palate is extremely balanced with a calm tannic edge and deep, plush juicy fruit. It’s a beautiful wine.
