Benzinger Family Winery Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Review
The cool thing about this wine is that the grapes are sourced intentionally from low yielding vineyards to increase the concentration and structure of the wine. This works, and the wine is deep and concentrated with dark berry fruit and earth notes. But the high alcohol belies the balance the winemakers are going for. It is a good wine, just off kilter a bit making it great for pizza, but not to be taken too seriously.
