Basina Tribidrag 2023 Review

Though we know the grape variety as Zinfandel in the U.S., it was historically known as Tribidrag in Croatia. This bottling comes from the Dalmatia region, produced by a family that has been tending these vines since the 15th century. It is peppered with plum and blackberry jam aromas on the nose, with a waft of earth. The palate is wonderful, with a rustic edge tamed by beautiful, expressive fruit. It's making me hungry just typing this.
