Bache-Gabrielsen American Oak
Review
Don't be worried about the words “American oak” that take pride of place on this bottle's label. Far from overpowering the spirit, the Tennessee oak barrels used a six-month finishing period add an enjoyable layer of vanilla to the aromas. The palate gains prominent notes of banana chips and toasty wood. Once again, fruit remains the star of the show. Though undoubtedly a bottle for whiskey lovers, this expression won't alienate "traditional" Cognac drinkers either.
