The Story Behind The The Pineapple Breakfast Martini
I am obsessed with the Breakfast Martini, a modern classic made with gin, lemon juice, Cointreau, and marmalade. It has beautiful balance and utilizes ingredients already found in the average household.
My spin on this delicious cocktail brings in pineapple to give it extra bite. Pineapple juice and jam sweeten the drink, but the gin and triple sec keep it from becoming cloying. The end result is almost bittersweet, as it if were always meant to be served this way.
- 1 ½ ounces gin
- ¾ ounce triple sec
- 1 ounce pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon pineapple jam
- Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake to chill and combine.
- Double (fine) strain into a coupe glass.
