The Story Behind The Sound & Fury

Many of the non-alc cocktails at Wild Child use techniques like atmospheric distillation — a process that separates liquids with different boiling points, like water and ethanol — to strip traditional spirits of their booze. Other drinks, however, are made with more accessible techniques. Case in point: the Sound & Fury, which combines carrot and mango juice with apple cider vinegar that’s infused with habanero, providing this cocktail with a complex, spicy vibrancy.

Ingredients

  • 1 liter carrot juice
  • 1 liter mango juice
  • 120 milliliters (½ cup) habanero-infused apple cider vinegar*
  • 375 milliliters agave nectar
  • 500 milliliters lime juice
  • Garnish: mango chile candy

Directions

  1. In an airtight container, combine all ingredients and stir to combine.
  2. To serve, add 4 ounces of mixture into a cocktail shaker and shake with nugget ice.
  3. Pour unstrained into a tall glass.
  4. Garnish with mango chile candy.
