The Story Behind The Effervescent Love

Nothing says Valentine’s Day like sparkling wine and strawberries. With the holiday well nigh upon us, we combined these two amorous ingredients. But with aphrodisiacs on the brain, we just had to include that most historic of all love ingredients, the ancient Greek recipe for a night of amour, the exquisite and racy fig.

This cocktail is easy to prepare, so you won't be wasting your special time with your paramour slaving away in the kitchen or bar. Instead, simply batch up some strawberry and fig simple syrup ahead of time, and you’re good to go. When the candles have been lit, the music is playing, and your lover has arrived, simply remove your pre-made syrup from the fridge, along with your bottle of bubbles, and mix them right there on the spot. If you or your loved one find the syrup a little sweet, it is easy to add less simple syrup, or for an extra flavor kick, squeeze in some lemon juice. It really adds another dimension, and we all know that the best kind of loving comes with a twist.
