What’s the tea? Truly just announced its newest project: Iced Tea Hard Seltzer.
The brand is launching its iced tea series nationwide in “eye-catching golden cans,” according to a Wednesday email press release. Each 12 pack will offer four flavors — lemon, raspberry, peach, and strawberry — with 12-ounce cans clocking in at just 1 gram of sugar and 100 calories.
The brand tested more than 250 flavors before landing on the final picks, offering an interesting new take on the growing hard tea trend.
This new project follows Truly’s successful launch of Lemonade Hard Seltzers in 2020, which helped the brand steal an impressive share of the hard seltzer market (around 25 percent, according to most market analysts). Lesya Lysyj, CMO of The Boston Beer Company, explained this launch is just another way in which Truly is expanding to become the “mega-brand” the company hopes to build.
Those opting out of dry January may be interested in Truly’s “Try January” campaign, which provides free merch for Truly fans. Interested parties aged 21 and over can access Try January at this link while supplies last.
