With the holidays approaching, it seems like Jingle Bell Rock is playing everywhere — but have you heard The Rock singing Jingle Bells?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was one step away from caroling when he announced his new ice cream on Nov. 29. In a tweet, Johnson wrote “Here comes Dwanta Claus” to celebrate the collaboration of his tequila brand with Salt & Straw, and the release of a special-edition ice cream.
The small-batch ice cream company is releasing “Dwanta’s Teremana Spiked Eggnog” as an homage to classic boozy eggnog, which comes true to form and spiked with Teremana Tequila. Fans can also find Johnson’s other holiday ice cream flavors “The Rock’n Around the Christmas Tree” and “I Saw Mommy Kissing Dwanta Claus” in stores or online.
In an email press release, the brand suggested that Teremana’s Reposado Tequila lends an oaky vanilla flavor that complements the rich, nutmeg-spiced custard. Fans can find a scoop in all Salt & Straw locations on the West Coast, or order pints online.
The ice cream will also be available in a limited edition Dwanta Claus “Naughty, Nice & Spiked” holiday flavor pack, which can be found online. This bundle comes with all three of Johnson’s holiday flavors, as well as two of his favorite cheat day picks.
For every holiday pack and pint sold through Dec. 31, $1 will be donated to the World Central Kitchen’s Restaurants for the People program. Last year, the Dwanta Claus Holiday Pack sold out in 48 hours, so fans are encouraged to act fast.
