With 2023 in the rearview, it’s time to look ahead and ponder what 2024 will have in store. Will wine proceed to erode as a restaurant mainstay? Will more breweries close their doors as the craft beer industry plateaus? We can’t make any guarantees, but we certainly think it’s in the cards.

On the bright side, it’s likely that this year will be a banner year for Mexican spirits, even those outside of the agave realm. We’re also anticipating spirit-specific bars to fade amidst the rise of regionally focused establishments that seek to provide a comprehensive look at a country’s cuisine and drinking culture. Though, when we zoom out to capture the bigger picture, the matter of low- to no-ABV comes up as a point of contention, along with who is actually drinking these products. Perhaps non-alcoholic products aren’t so much for sober people, but rather drinkers looking to have a night off by enjoying these beverages.

Today on the “VinePair Podcast,” Adam, Joanna, and Zach dive into their drinks industry predictions for 2024. Some might play out, some won’t, and some we may never talk about again. Tune in for more.
