Someone Told Me I Should Always Rinse My Glass Before Pouring a Beer. Should I?

You absolutely should, and it’s not just to ensure that the glass you are about to pour that delicious beer into is clean. When you rinse your glass before pouring in the beer, the residual water left behind from the quick rinse causes the sides of the glass to become slippery, and slippery sides mean there is less friction when beer fills the glass. Less friction results in a more even, clean pour and a substantial, fragrant head. An added bonus is you’re cooling the glass down a bit as well, which is also beneficial.

To be clear, you don’t have to rinse the glass first, but doing so will result in a better beer experience.
