While everyone else is pouring down punch and sipping straight shots, we’re putting a fall twist on a summer classic : sangria. We know what you’re thinking — sangria for Halloween? This must be a trick. But what if we told you this sangria wasn’t your cheap, grapey summer juice that comes from a jug, but rather a creamy, caramelly, apple cider sangria? Perfect for any party, this festive sangria is sure to be a treat for all of your costumed guests.
What you’ll need:
White wine, apple cider, caramel vodka (try Stolichnaya Salted Karamel for a savory twist) or brandy, sliced apples, sliced pears, sliced peaches, cinnamon sticks, brown sugar (to rim the glasses)
Combine wine, apple cider, and caramel vodka into bowl and stir. Cut apples, peaches, and pears into various cubes and slices and add to mixture. Dip a sponge in caramel vodka or brandy and brush along outer rim of glass. Dip glass into brown sugar to dust rim. Serve chilled over ice. Garnish with cinnamon stick.
