Vodka cures bad breath.

We’ve all been there before, we’re at the bar waiting for our date or meeting to arrive, and all of a sudden we start to become self conscious about our breath – maybe that slice of pizza with garlic powder earlier in the day wasn’t such a great idea after all. Bad breath is something toothpaste, mouthwash and gum companies have made us acutely aware of over the years, and no one likes to be the victim of it. So what do you do when you’re already at the bar, you can’t run out to grab a pack of mints, and you don’t want to start pestering strangers about bumming a stick of gum? Take a shot of vodka.

Sure the shot of vodka may also give you a little bit of liquid courage for the impending meet-up which is a terrific bonus but it also performs a very vital function, killing the bacteria inside your mouth that is producing your bad breath in the first place. Just leave the vodka in your mouth for a few seconds before swallowing to ensure it does the job. You don’t even have the swallow the vodka if you don’t want to, you could just swish it around in your mouth and then find somewhere to spit it out, but what’s the fun in that? Plus you might risk getting a very funny look from the bartender, or insulting the quality of the libations they have behind the bar. Probably not a great way to start your time at the establishment.

If you were at home, instead of the bar, you could even add a bit of flavor to the vodka to give it the minty characteristics you’re more likely used to when it comes to utilizing breath fresheners. Add a pinch of cinnamon, maybe a few springs of mint, infuse, swish and breath a bit easier. Ah the magic of booze.
