Winter's Hill Reserve Pinot Blanc 2016 Review
Wow, this wine is good. I always like when a winemaker can make something great out of a grape not known for complexity. As with any wine outside of Europe I am not sure what the “reserve” means and don’t believe it needs to be there, but I digress. Soft acidity, a coating palate, with floral notes such as wisteria and lilly tinged with hints of lime and nectarine pith. There is a bit of that dry white peach and pear on the palate as well. Even though the acidity is low the wine is alive. If we are gonna be planting this grape in the states, this is what we should be going for.
