Wilderness Trail Straight High-Rye Bourbon Review
Wilderness Trail manages to coax out an incredibly herbaceous, minty note from the rye used in this bourbon's mash bill. It's so distinctive on the nose yet doesn't stick out — in a good way — on the palate. Instead, it lends a gentle spice and menthol kick, while the balance between flavor and alcohol is absolutely on point. This is a really exciting distillery whose whiskeys consistently deliver. Keep an eye on their releases, if they aren't already on your radar.
