Wagner Vineyards Estate Winery Merlot 2020 Review
Wagner was established in New York's Finger Lakes region in 1979. Located on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake, it's one of the oldest and largest wineries in the region. This Merlot is the definition of a cool climate red. It's extremely food friendly with a good amount of natural acidity. There are subtle aromas of plum and cherry with a hint of baker's chocolate. This wine is all about texture. The palate is fleshy with a punchy bright fruit lifted by the bracing acidity.
