Veramonte Chardonnay 2017 Review
Everything is so right. Twenty miles from the pacific, in high draining Chilean soils, and legit sun exposure, with restraint and strategic sustainable decisions in the winery makes this one hell of a gem. How is this wine only $9? Green apple and fresh squeezed lime dosed with tangy acacia and mountain spring minerality is what greets you on the nose. There is a nice grip on the palate with electric acidity giving the wine a nice edge that doesn’t go too far due to the neutral barrel fermentation which retains depth. Think of an occasion and this wine is right for it.
