Tyrrell's Wines Hunter Valley Semillon 2017 Review

Sémillon is not known much other than a blending variety in Bordeaux, but in Hunter Valley Australia it is the icon of the region. And this is a great example of why. The pungent nose gives aromas of ripe citrus and a curious hint of alpine fir with some green apple. The palate is grippy with tight acidity making it a great food wine. This is an exploratory wine, as it is very good but pricey. If you are looking to expand the geek in you, this is worth the money.
