Two Stacks Blended Irish Whiskey 'Tawny Port Cask Finished' Review
This Two Stacks release enters bottle at a cask-strength 65 percent ABV, and comprises a blend of grain, pot still, and malt whiskeys. It spent the final days of its aging period in Tawny port casks, which provides attractive red reflections to its appearance, and ripe red berries to its bouquet. The whiskey's high proof serves to intensify the dark caramel notes and baking spices on its fiery palate, and prolong the finish to a minor eternity. While not for the faint of heart when sipped neat, a few drops of water will tame this enjoyable blend.
