Travaglini Gattinara DOCG 2016 Review

If you are doing it up with a big ol italian meal, throwing some lean steak on the grill or roasting up some pork with a side of pasta, this wine will shine all over the meal. Also, if you like Barolo, made with the same grape, this is a great, more affordable alternative. Hell, if you dig Pinot Noir you'll love this wine too. It is elegant and powerful at the same time, with great acidity and a nice tannin structure framing the wine. It opens up to a smell that will make you think of ripe cherries and turned earth. It’s just over $30, widely available, and definitely worth it.
