Tequila Tapatío Blanco 110 Review

Fifty-five percent ABV, or 110 proof, may be fairly pedestrian in the modern American whiskey space but in the case of tequila, it’s the maximum alcohol content allowed. No producer has been more of a standard bearer for bottling at this strength than Tapatío, winning the hearts of bartenders and aficionados in the process. This blanco opens with intensely concentrated fresh agave and mint aromas. The palates kicks in cinnamon, agave nectar, and sporadic bursts of citrus. There’s heat but no hint of alcohol (everclear), flavor-wise. Sip neat, mix in cocktails, and by all means add a few drops of water!
