Skouras Almyra Chardonnay 2020 Review
From the Greek Peloponnese comes this extremely refreshing Chardonnay. Ok, yes it has five percent of the native grape Malagousia (mah-la-goo-zee-ah) but that only adds to the awesomeness of this wine. The alcohol is just right, adding to the wine's depth but not overpowering the wine. It has a wonderful focused citrus note that is partnered with a slight floral note. There is also a comfy aroma of the drying effect of under ripe white peaches. The acidity in this wine is drying and refreshing. It’s clean and focused while still showing a slight oak depth. No toastiness here. Just good well rounded fruit with an aromatic lift.
